AKHA Embarks On An Oversight Function To Roads Under Construction

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly through its Committee on Works and Transport embarked on an oversight function to some ongoing road projects undertaken by the Akwa Ibom State Government.

The House Committee chaired by Rt. Hon. David Lawrence also had in the entourage, the Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset.

The roads visited include Four Lanes Water Channeling linking Ewet Housing drainage from Police Station by G-Line handled by Bulletine Construction Company Limited were visited, where the Managing Director of the Company Chief Faysal Harb explained to the committee the level of work so far done.

Also the 6.1km Atan Offot Road handled by Amitek Construction company which the MD, Aiman Saimua briefed the committee that 70 per cent of the total job has been done was visited.

The 19.5km Anua to Mbak Ishiet road in Etoi Clan handled by Verini Construction Company was also visited where the MD, Engineer Alfred Alfred told the committee that a considerable portion of the road has reached advanced stage.

The House Committee, however charged the construction companies to work hard and deliver the roads to Akwa Ibom people to better their economic lives.

Hon.(Elder)Mark Esset (Nsit Atai), Hon. Godwin Ekpo (Ibiono Ibom); Barr. Otobong Bob (Nsit Ibom); Rt. Hon. Effiong Bassey (Oron/Udung Uko); Rt. Hon. Asuquo Archibong (Urue Offong/Oruko), Hon. (Barr.) Victor Ekwere (Mkpat Enin); Hon. Ifiok OS Udoh (Nsit Ibom) and Rt. Hon.(Prince) Idongesit Ntekpere (Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara).
