Advisory Council Of Ifim Ibom Ibibio Condoles With Gov Eno On Wife’s Passage

The Advisory Council of Ifim Ibom Ibibio has mourned and sympathised with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno and his family, over the sad news of the passage of his wife, Her Excellency, late Mrs Patience Umo Eno, as announced by the State Government on Friday.

The group, in a Press Statement signed by Akwa Afaha Iman Ibom, Dr. Asikpo Essienibok, chairman of the Advisory Council of Ifim Ibom Ibibio, commiserated with the Government of Akwa Ibom State for the unfortunate incident to occur at a very inopportune time, that the government was gearing up for the ARISE revolution in Agriculture.

It recalled that the State Governor had flagged-off the 2024 second Planting Season on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 and distributed fertilizer and other agricultural inputs, a development it said brought joy to farmers, only for the State to be thrown into deep mourning following the tragic loss of the First Lady.

“We had just received fertiliser and other agricultural inputs for the 2nd planting season a day before this tragic news.

“We mourn and sympathise with the people of Akwa Ibom State, who have lost for the first time, in its 37th year history, her First Lady in the line of duty, ” it empathised.

The Advisory Council of Ifim Ibom Ibibio prayed to the Almighty God to take control and console Pastor Eno and his family for the irreparable loss that cannot for ever be replaced in form or spirit as well as strengthen “the State Government to rise up to the occasion in the midst of this human tragedy to pursue the ARISE Agenda to its logical conclusion for the benefits of Akwa Ibom people and the credits of its progenerators.”

The body also “prayed to Almighty God to comfort and strengthen the wisdom and resolve of Akwa Ibom State people to wear and bear this particular incident as a state tragedy, universal in nature and capable of reuniting the pieces into a monolithic whole as it was in the beginning and so shall it be.”
