The collaborative and impactful leadership strides of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, have been described as impressive and heartwarming by administrators of the state’s local government areas.

Fielding questions from Government House Correspondents at the Governor’s Lodge, Uyo, after Chairmen of the state’s 31 Local Government Areas met with Governor Eno to submit their scorecards for the last year in office, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr Frank Archibong, commended the Governor for his conscientious and pragmatic leadership that has brought tangible development and growth to the grassroots.

“We are lucky at this point to have this kind of leadership displayed by our Governor, Pastor Umo Eno. His leadership approach signposts hard work, diligence, and dedication to duty – virtues that run through all those who work with and under him without any deviation.”

According to the Commissioner, exactly one year ago, when the Local Government Chairmen were sworn into office, they hit the ground running, which has today translated into meaningful development in every nook and cranny of the State to complement the ARISE Agenda of the State’s administration.

He specifically appreciated Governor Eno for his timely release of funds as made available to the State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the various development projects criss-crossing the length and breadth of local government areas in the State.

“It has been a great service; a great period of service for our people across different sectors of agriculture, health, infrastructure, security, education, among others, aligning our thoughts, aspirations, and dreams with the spirit of the ARISE Agenda of the Governor,” he said.

“Today, you no longer hear of backlogs of owed gratuities or pensions by the Government. And, this has brought stability and more productivity at the local government administration,” he said.
