Apostolic Church Recognizes Paul Bassey with Excellence Award

...Commissioner Dedicates Award to Governor Umo Eno 

‎The Apostolic Church, Atabong Assembly, Eket, Akwa Ibom State, has recognized Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Elder Paul Bassey, with Excellence Award in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the church.

‎Bassey, who is an elder of the church was presented with the Award during the 23rd Anniversary Celebration of The Apostolic Church, Atabong Assembly.

‎Speaking at the event, Elder Bassey said he dedicated the Award to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD for being magnanimous in appointing two prominent sons of Eket to serve in his administration, maintaining that the Governor Eno is a detribalized leader.

The Award

‎Going memory lane, the Sports Commissioner disclosed that he used to sing at the Church Choir, Atabong from his early years, pledging commitment to remain a faithful and committed member of the church.

‎”When I was 20 years old, I used to sing in the choir at this same church,” Elder Bassey noted, maintaining that, “Nothing can separate me from the Apostolic Church.”

‎He thanked the church leadership for putting up the programme by recognizing those who have made significant contributions to the growth of the church over the years.

‎In a related development, the Sport Boss attended the Reception/Sendforth and Thanksgiving Service in honour of Pastor/Deaconess Edward Thompson at The Apostolic Church, Ikot Okudom District, Okon Eket in Eket Local Government Area and donated to support the church building project.
