Catholic Priest Lauds Federal Lawmaker Hon. Odudoh For Lighting Project, Support To Church

The Dean and Parish Priest of SS Peter and Paul Parish, Essene, Rev. Fr. Ubon Etim, PhD, has praised the Member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh, for his commitment to community development and his consistent support of the Church.

Speaking during the Parish Mass on Sunday, September 7, 2025, Fr. Etim noted that Hon. Odudoh initiated the electrification and lighting of the church premises and its surroundings, a project that has significantly improved worship activities and enhanced security in the area.

In addition to his various projects, the federal lawmaker donated ₦1 million to the parish, further demonstrating his ongoing commitment to giving back to society.

Hon. Odudoh, who was represented by a former Supervisor for Education, Hon. Ignatius Umosen, called on the faithful to continue to pray for him as he discharges his duties at the National Assembly.

He reaffirmed his belief that governance must reflect the welfare and development of the people.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Ignatius Umosen expressed gratitude to the clergy and parishioners for their steadfast prayers and support for Hon. Uduak Odudoh, assuring them that the lawmaker deeply values their love and encouragement and will never take it for granted.

He further highlighted that Hon. Odudoh has executed numerous impactful projects across the federal constituency, including free medical outreaches, provision of solar-powered water facilities, renovation of schools, and various human capital development initiatives, all of which have benefited communities across the constituency.

The parish community, in turn, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, describing his gestures as not only a support to the Church but also a contribution to the overall growth of the Essene community.
