Celebrating 10 Years Of FEYReP: A Journey Of Empowerment, Dignity, And Transformation

By Mercy Obot

For ten years, the Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path Initiative (FEYReP), founded by Dr (Mrs) Martha Udom Emmanuel, former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, has been a beacon of hope, giving voice to the voiceless and dignity to the less privileged.

Through its social interventions, FEYReP has protected the rights of women, children, and vulnerable families, equipping them with tools to rise above poverty, resist abuse, and dream again. From empowering women to own businesses and championing the fight against gender-based violence to offering scholarships and skills for self-reliance, FEYReP has touched lives with compassion and purpose.

Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebration held on Friday, September 20, 2025, at the FEYReP Hall, Ewet Housing, Uyo, Her Excellency, Mrs Helen Obareki, First Lady designate of Akwa Ibom State, lauded FEYReP’s consistent interventions, saying:
