Children’s Day: Diri Felicitates With Bayelsa Children
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State on Wednesday felicitated with the children of the state on this year’s International Children’s Day celebration assuring them that God will use him to fulfil His plans in their lives.
In his felicitation message to the children of the state, Governor Diri noted that children are the future leaders and that no functional society can excel without children, maintaining that they are the embodiment of hope.
The Governor urged the tomorrow leaders to obey their parents, work hard on being achievers, work towards being good ambassadors and look up to God for a brighter future.
He stated,” Children’s Day is celebrated all over the world to recognise and preserve the innocence of a child. It is to make you feel great for your contribution to making the world a gentler and kinder place.

“So on this your special day, I want to remind you that you have a right to be here. God has a particular reason for bringing you to Bayelsa State at this time.
“That same God that has miraculously made me governor of this state, will use me to help you fulfil His plans for your life. Dream big. Work hard. Nothing shall be impossible to you”, the Governor assured them.
