Council Boss Immortalize Late Patience Umo Eno With ICT Centre
...Receives Kudos For Sterling Leadership
A state-of-the-art Patience Umo Eno Information and Communication Technology Centre has been inaugurated in Nsit Ubuim Local Government Council of Akwa Ibom State.
The ICT centre, which can cater for over a hundred people and boasts offices and other modern facilities, was started and completed within record time by the outgoing transition chairman, Arc. Iniobong Orok.
Inaugurating the project, Governor Umo Eno, who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, described the project as a milestone achievement by the outgoing administration of Architect Iniobong Orok.
He added that the centre named after the departed First Lady of the State has immortalised the mother of the state, who was known for her compassionate and loving personality.
He further urged the indigenes of the area to take advantage of the facility to boost their knowledge in the information technology sector, stressing that life-changing opportunities abound in the sector.

Gov. Eno, who warned against the vandalisation of the ICT Centre, also lauded the Transition Chairman of Nsit Ubuim, Architect Iniobong Orok, for his sterling leadership at the grassroots level.
On his part, Architect Iniobong Orok, flanked by his wife, Emem, said in his remarks that he built the ICT centre to encourage the youths of the area to tap into the huge potentials of the sector, stating that Nsit Ubium would soon become a hub in the tech industry.
He thanked Governor Eno for the opportunity granted him to serve in his administration, praying that God would continually protect and comfort him in his moments of grief.
