Eastern Obolo Legislative Council Applauds Gov Emmanuel, Others On Successful LG Primary
…Invite Stakeholders To Public Hearing On Four Bills, Thursday
The 6th Eastern Obolo Legislative council, Eastern Obolo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State has applauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for his dynamic leadership in the state since coming on board in 2015.
The legislative council particularly commended the governor, the member representing Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Francis Uduyok, stakeholders and faithful of People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Eastern Obolo LGA for the recent successful PDP primary election that lead to the emergence of the house leader, Elder Abraham Mathias Odion as the PDP chairmanship candidate for Eastern Obolo.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued by the leader of the Legislature, Eastern Obolo, Elder Joseph Oromene.

In the statement, the 6th Eastern Obolo Legislative Council requested Chief Francis Uduyok, Mr Uduak Odudoh, member, representing Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA), Mrs Victoria Tallick, executive chairman, Eastern Obolo LGA and her executive council members, all Eastern Obolo stakeholders, HRM Ubong Harry J. Etetor, paramount ruler of Eastern Obolo LGA; HH, Chief (Capt) Isaiah F. Okonko, clan head of Iko town, all village heads, opinion leaders, the clergy, youths, men and women groups and the entire Eastern Obolo people to its public hearing on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
The public hearing will deliberate on “A bill for a bye law to make provision for the registration/ licensing of boat and canoe and other matters connected thereto” and “A bill for byelaw to make provision for the tenements rate of the values for all classes of tenements in Eastern Obolo and for other matters connected thereto.”

Others are “A bill for byelaw to make provision for street naming/ management in Eastern Obolo LGA and for other matters connected thereto” and “A bill for byelaw to make provision for the establishment of markets in Eastern Obolo and for other matters connected thereto.”
The public hearing slated for Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Obolo Hall by 10.00am is to be held under the chairmanship of Sir Adasi Ubulom, who is the state chairman, Akwa Ibom State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy.
