Estactic Moments In Ibiono Ibom As Senator Bassey Albert Celebrates Yuletide With Youths
A cross section of youths from Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State had estactic moments of celebration of the yuletide with the senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert (OBA) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
The youths, numbering about a thousand had gathered at Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council’s Ground, Oko-Ita to receive and celebrate with their illustrious son, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Leader of the Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Abuja.
The Ibiono Ibom youths, led by Comrade Imo Udoekong, International President, Ibiono Ibom Youth for Democracy and Development (IBIYODED) and Comrade Moses Essien, Chairman Board of Trustees IBIYODED were full of appreciation as Senator Albert, who hails from Ididep Usuk, Ibiono Ibom, arrived the venue with hundreds of bags of rice and other gift items to share the love of the season with them.
In his speech, the two-term senator and former Commissioner for Finance in Akwa Ibom State, Senator Albert, thanked the youths of Ibiono Ibom for standing by him and Governor Udom Emmanuel over the years to ensure peace, unity and development in the area, state and nation.

Senator OBA stressed the need for the youths to show love during the yuletide by sharing the little in our possession with one another to symbolize our love for each other which is the essence of the season.
According to him, in the past 15 years, he has made it an annual event to meet and celebrate yuletide with the youths and others, assuring that he will sustain it.
Senator Albert urged the youths to trust wholly in God as only His will upon each and every one’s life will always come to pass.
He also tasked the youths, as future leaders, to embrace peace and participate actively in choosing their leaders today so as to secure a better future for themselves.

This, he said they can do, by ensuring that the right persons are chosen and elected into positions of responsibilities.
Senator Albert further reiterated his commitment to continue with his effective representation, empowerment programmes and educational support schemes beyond 2023, with their support.
