Ex- Assembly Man From Ibesikpo Asutan Returns To PDP

Former House of Assembly member for Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency, Hon Eduok Eduok, who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) prior to the 2019 general elections, has returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Hon Eduok ditched the APC and re-declared for the PDP recently in a meeting attended by political big wigs from Asutan Ekpe in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.

Although the development came to members of APC family in the area as a huge surprise, however, some die hard supporters of the ruling party also believed that the defection was a mere transition, adding that at the appointed time, the decampee will come back to the APC whenever he is done with his assignment in the PDP.

A member of the APC in the state, Mr. Johnny Solomon, has this to say:
“Truth is that he will come back to APC and we will still welcome him. Some politicians are itinerant in nature. They are always in constant search of greener pastures. When feasibility ups for APC ahead of 2023, I guarantee that he will come back”.

We should be wary of packing every politician in one party. It does not open up the political space to enhance healthy competition that promotes effective service delivery. In the days ahead, we shall reorientate the public against having the Rt Hon Emman Obot of this world and all these big shots in one umbrella. That is wasting of political materials.

I am monitoring everything in my corner. Before the 2019 general elections, I had told Obong Nsima Ekere that ke amuk (flesh/good health) akaka idemowo, okpo (bone) ado anyie ufok. The flesh that visited APC in 2019 are beginning to find their levels. Nyin, the bones are still here and we will be here to receive them back again before 2023 when we would have prepared the grounds for the change that is to come to Akwa Ibom State.
