Food Security Program: Ibesikpo Asutan Council Boss Lauds Gov. Eno For Another Phase Of Food Distribution
The Chairman of the Transition Committee of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs.) Akon Michael Asuquo, has lauded the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, for offering another phase of food distribution to vulnerable persons in Ibesikpo Asutan local government.
The transition chairman made the commendation while receiving a team from Akwa Ibom State Bulk Purchasing Agency in the local government with a truckload of food for vulnerable persons in the area on Monday, September 16, 2024.
She extended the unreserved gratitude of the people of Ibesikpo Asutan to the governor for the positive gesture, reiterating the standard resolve of the local government to stand by him till 2031.
“Today marks yet another phase of food distribution. My leader, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, is very intentional about the welfare of all Akwa Ibomites and Ibesikpo Asutan people in particular.
“Once again, on behalf of the entire local government, we are grateful to the Governor for this initiative. The targeted audience is the vulnerable, and this and many other social programs initiated by the governor will, in no small measure, help in cushioning the effect of the country’s economic hardship.

“We remain eternally indebted to our leader, the Governor. He’s a golden gift to the entire state and Ibesikpo Asutan in particular. We can and will never regret voting him to be our governor,” she further stated.
In a brief interview with the No. 1 citizen of the LGA, during the distribution process, Mrs. Asuquo adjudged the conduct of the distribution process was peaceful and very transparent.
“The process is peaceful, simple and very transparent. With the food voucher as issued by wards’ respective PAs and duly screened by the officials of the team, beneficiaries are given the food.”
With the transition chairman during the food distribution process were: the political leader of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Uwem Ita Etuk; the former National Assembly member, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Obot; the PDP Chairmanship candidate for Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Council and the immediate past transition Vice Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan LGA, Hon. (Evang.) Edidiong Inyang; a member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency in the AKHA, Pastor Engr. Ubong Attah; and the transition committee secretary, Hon Elder Mfon Eka, among many other dignitaries.
