God, Our Refuge and Fortress!
Forever, God’s faithfulness abides. As faithful, we rise to proclaim and rejoice in the Lord for our entrance into the new month of February. Our triumph is not by our might or power, but wholly by the spirit of God and his unfailing love for us (Zachariah 4:6; Romans 4:6-7; Titus 3:5).
By his everlasting love, we are renewed every day. The Holy book says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Again it states, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” (Psalm 34:8). God remains our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble. (Psalm 46:1-2a).
We make bold therefore, to declare our thanksgiving unto him for all his immeasurable acts of love, mercies and compassions (Psalm 34; Psalm 100 and Psalm 111). It is only God who can give us all-round rest from the many storms of life (Exodus 33:14).

As people of covenant, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful and will bring all expectations to a conclusive end (Numbers 23:19; Hebrews 10:23). That same God of yesterday, today and forever neither sleeps nor slumbers. His glory abides only with him and not man (Isaiah 42:8).
We pray for God’s enduring protection and blessings. May this new month of February come with goodly benefits and may peace reign upon our land. We pray for the peaceful rest of our eminent sons who have transited. We beseech God to grant the bereaved families and Akwa Ibom State the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
As ever, I remain committed in offering quality and fruitful representation and leadership. I am happy that the impact of my stewardship is blossoming. More lives are being touched positively through scholarship, trade and investment opportunities and empowerment, employment placement, donation of vehicles for personal and transport purposes, among others. For all these, we give God all the glory!
