Bayelsa State governor, Senator Douye Diri, has appointed the former acting director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr Matthew Seiyefa, as honorary special adviser on security.
The governor, who also announced 33 other appointments as honorary special advisers, technical advisers and special advisers said all the appointees would be sworn in on a later date.
The governor’s spokesman, Mr Daniel Alabrah, who also had his appointment confirmed as the chief press secretary to the governor announced the appointments in a statement on Saturday.

He listed other appointees to include a renowned clergyman, Rev David Zilly Aggrey, who has been appointed as honorary special adviser on religion 1 and Archbishop Winning Willy Bunting – honorary special adviser on religion ll.
Others appointed as honorary special advisers include; Architect Harcourt Adukeh and Chief Joshua Fumudoh.
While Boma Spero-Jack, Dennis Sami, Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown and Pastor S.S John Peters were appointed as technical advisers.
The governor also announced 25 names as special advisers; this came hours after the Court of Appeal had upturned the tribunal judgment that sacked him as Bayelsa State governor.
