“As you mourn her passing, we urge you to be comforted by the great and impactful things that she did.

“It is equally comforting that she was a devout Christian, a pastor, a born again Christian, a follower of Christ and that is why her end is this glorious and I know that her Christian virtues will continue to guide her children she left behind.”

The State Chief Executive also acknowledged Captain Ekong’s role as a bridge builder in the family and in the society, praying God to strengthen him and keep him to care for the children.

“The mystery of death is also an appointment that everybody must keep, it is not how long but how well, it is God who knows the end from the beginning of every mankind so it has pleased God…

“So Captain you know you are a bridge builder across barriers and everywhere, even in your marriage you have demonstrated that you are a bridge builder across all facets of lives, our prayer is that God will continue to strengthen you.”

In his exhortation, the Senior Pastor, Insight Bible Church, Uyo, Dr. Sylvanus Ukafia who culled his text from 1Cor. 15:51, admonished believers that their mortal bodies which is corruptible will someday change to an incorruptible body, a life of eternity which every Christian desires.

The cleric added that teachings of Christ mandates all to embrace living right which is a determinant of where they will spend their eternity, noting that late Mrs. Olajumoke Ekong who has transited to glory, had chosen a life of Christ.

“The way we live in our mortal body will decide which side of the divide we will rise to, for that reason God had given His son to die for us, so, that change, a preparatory event that leads us to meet with God will take place.”
