Gov Eno Applauds Esset’s Impactful Representation in Uyo
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, has applauded the Member representing Uyo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Mark Udo Esset, for his numerous contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
Pastor Umo Eno gave this commendation earlier today at the Constituency Briefing and Empowerment Programme held at Ibom Hall Grounds, Uyo.
Represented by his Political Adviser, Prince Godwin Ntuk Udeh, PhD, the Governor conveyed his high commendation to Hon. Esset for his unprecedented empowerment initiatives and impactful contributions in the Green Chamber.
Pastor Umo Eno noted that he is proud to have Hon. Esset in the Federal House of Representatives, emphasising that his efforts align perfectly with the ARISE Agenda of the present administration. He highlighted Esset’s contributions through bills, free medical outreaches, installation of solar‑powered boreholes in rural communities, and human capacity development programmes, all of which reflect the ARISE vision.
The Governor further advised beneficiaries to make good use of the items received and to continue supporting the government of the day.

The Chairman of the event, who is also the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, congratulated Rt. Hon. Esset for his effective representation. He commended him for disbursing over ₦100 million in cash, noting that the people of Uyo Federal Constituency are proud of his leadership and generosity.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, represented by Hon. Abubakar K. Abubakar Bichi, Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, also extended congratulations to Hon. Esset for his dedication and commitment to giving back to his constituency.
In his remarks, the Chief Host, Hon. Mark Udo Esset, PhD, expressed gratitude to the people of Uyo for their unwavering support over the years. He announced that over 100 constituents would become millionaires through the empowerment programme, stressing that all vehicles distributed were brand new.
Other goodwill messages were received from chapter chairmen of both APC and PDP in Uyo Federal Constituency, youths, women leaders, council chairmen led by the ALGON Chairman, members of the State House of Assembly, and paramount rulers of Uyo, Uruan, Nsit Atai, and Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Areas.
The Constituency Briefing and Empowerment Programme had in attendance political functionaries, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youths, and women.
The high point of the event was the presentation of brand new cars, minibuses, cargo tricycles, passenger tricycles (Keke), motorcycles, sewing machines, freezers, and cash donations amounting to over ₦100 million.
