Gov Eno Reiterates Call For Unity, Support For Govt

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has identified unity and collaboration amongst citizens, and support for government, as necessary ingredients to achieving and sustaining the peace and development of the State.
Governor Eno remarked during the 114th Anniversary and Fund-raising ceremony of the United Evangelical Church (founded as Qua Iboe Church), Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, Sunday.
Pastor Eno reassured the people that he is running a unity government anchored on the ARISE Agenda for the benefit of the entire citizenry.

“Let us all work together in unity and oneness of purpose irrespective of our different political persuasions for the overall good of our State. Government cannot exist alone to do well without meaningful support, unity, and commitment of the people,” he added.
The Governor urged the people of the State to rise above partisanship to partnership by contributing their quota to the Akwa Ibom project.
He congratulated the United Evangelical Church for a successful 114th anniversary and thanked God for the successful movement of his government from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reiterating that the move is for enlightened State interest.

“While I sincerely congratulate and share in the celebration of the 114th Anniversary and fund-raising of the Church, I also personally came here to thank God for our smooth movement ceremony to the APC yesterday with no negative reports or incidents from the event; We give God all the glory.
“The movement does not in any way divide us. Rather, it strengthens us the more for better accomplishments for our people and our State.”
The service was graced by members of the State Executive Council, clergies, captains of industries, the political class, and Christian faithful across the State and beyond.
