Ikono Assembly Man Appreciates Supporters, Promises more Dividends
The Member representing Ikono State constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and chairman House Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo has appreciated his supporters from Ediene Itak extraction for their support during the 2019 general elections.
The appreciation which came under a meeting he hosted at Nung Idio Ediene, Ikono LGA, and christened “Thank you session” by the convener, Akparawa Millar Obot, was primarily designed to serve as ample opportunity for Hon. Udo to meet with his teeming supporters from Ediene Itak zone as a group after his election and eventual inauguration as a member of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly
Akparawa Obot, who coordinated the support base of ‘Akwa Odudu Abasi Campaign’ team of Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo in the zone in 2019, thanked the people for their selfless sacrifices and commitment during the 2019 electioneering that culminated in the massive victory of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Akparawa Millar said he was happy that the people of Ediene Itak mandated him to convene such a historic meeting with credible personalities in attendance; expressing hope that their principal will reward them accordingly”.
In their various goodwill messages, Mrs Agnes Raymond, Nsikak Ikpe, Emmanuel Obot, Elijah Augustine, Elder Peter Effiong Mbaba, Esther Sunday Etok, Mfon Asuquo, Mrs Polycarp Paul and Mr Aniekan Paul, all paid glowing tributes to Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo for his strides since he became a member of AKHA and for his special interest and investment in the education of the indigenes of Ikono LGA.
It could be noted that Hon. Nnana has taken charge of the purchase of JAMB forms, WAEC registration and some financial assistance to students of the area across institutions of learning including tertiary institutions.

They described Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo as a leader with unquantifiable humility and impeccable qualities who has meticulously changed the complexion and narratives of representation as far as Ikono State constituency is concerned.
They maintained that Mbakara Ikono would always be remembered for his philanthropic disposition, provision of employment for the youths of the area, helping people to set up businesses of diverse measures and by extension his contributions on the chambers during plenary which has brought about the passage of far-reaching bills by the State Assembly.
In his remarks, Hon. Asuquo Nana Udo thanked the people of Ediene Itak zone for always supporting his endeavours, even in the face of difficulties.
He appreciated them for their undying patience and promised that their expectations will not be disappointed at the end of it all. The State lawmaker used the occasion to appeal to the people of the area to continue to support Gov. Udom Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda policy.
He assured the people of his continued appeal to the government for the attraction of meaningful projects to Ikono LGA as well as the reconstruction of the abandoned Uyo Afaha Nkan, Urua Naira, Nkwot Road that has posed unmitigated suffering on the people of the area.
The event was attended by Elders, youths, men and women of the area.
