Members and admirers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Use Offot community, Uyo local government area, Akwa Ibom State have recently, through a unanimous decision declared “unflinching support” to the ARISE Agenda policy trust of the state government noting it as the beginning of a new dawn that calls for all hands to be on deck to ensure grassroots effect.
The action came besides some unveiling political gameplay within APC and the need to reposition the Party for 2027 political engagements at all levels of leadership across the country.
Use Offot community though located within the heartbeat of Uyo, the city capital, is one of the most neglected villages in Uyo local government area, lacking development infrastructure especially good road network to access the village particularly during the rainy season.

The unity converge tagged: “End of the Year Get-together” organised under the auspices of Use Offot APC/Akwa Ibom united, was conceived and shared off-line by some of the youths and opinion builders from the community, many of whom are political appointees.
Setting the tone for the gathering, Hon. Linus Effiong declared that Use Offot APC has come to stay and as a community fully committed to supporting the state government programmes and policies towards meaningful life for all and sundry. He re-emphasised the need for team spirit and unity.

The Personal Assistant to the Governor on New Media Mr. Sixtus Patrick Etukudo highlighted the Governor’s achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, rural development, security, health, and education. He noted that the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has unified Akwa Ibom State and fostered inclusive governance.

Also addressing the audience, the Personal Assistant to the Governor Ward 9, Hon. Vincent Udo, expressed gratitude to the major stakeholders of APC in Use Offot for their unity and support.
Udo called for togetherness and cooperation within the community, stressing that collective efforts remain vital for sustaining progress.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Edem Offong Osong, SA to the Governor on Talent Hunt Development, Emmanuel Owuala, Woman mobiliser, Mrs. Comfort Titus, the community youth leader, Comrade Utitofon Edet, David Ikpe and Nkereuwem Paulinus who all pledged continued support for the Governor’s vision and reaffirmed their commitment to the ARISE Agenda.
