New Birth Bible Church Prays For Late Sir Ekere’s Family
The New Birth Bible Church have mourned with the family of departed elder statesman, Sir Gabriel Sampson Ekere, who died at the age of 90.
A delegation of the church which paid a condolence visit to the family on Wednesday, prayed God to sustain the identity of godliness and excellence in them as well as the fortitude to cope in the absence of departed father.
Received by a member of the family, Mr Nsima Ekere, who was a former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, the President of the New Birth Bible church, His Lordship, Bishop Josephine Gideon Eggah, said the visit was to identify with the family in line with the Biblical command that Christians should mourn with those that are bereaved.
Bishop Eggah exhorted the family, assuring them that the light of God will continue to shine in the family and beyond.

She added that members of the New Birth family have the Ekere’s family in their hearts, and prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed.
Obong Nsima Ekere in his response, said the visit has strengthened the family.
He said though his older siblings were unavoidably absent during the visit due to some funeral exigencies, the family remains appreciative of The gesture.
In the delegation of the church were Bishop Dr. Gideon Eggah, Apostle Edikan Eggah, Deaconess Patricia Ekpa Bassey and Apostle Kubiat Etang.
