The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, Comrade Amos Etuk has confirmed that Crystal Express Newspaper is rich in character and contents.
Comrade Etuk made the statement when the editorial crew of Crystal Express Newspaper paid him a courtesy visit yesterday in his office.
The NUJ boss commended the newspaper for the feat it has attained within its short period of existence and saluted the courage of the crew in maintaining the aesthetic contents of the paper, saying that the beauty of the Newspaper encourages readers to peruse its contents.
Comrade Etuk maintained that the Akwa Ibom State Council of the NUJ will continue to set agenda for development of journalism in the State in all facets in order to confirm that the media plays a key role in sustainable development, both in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and the world at large.
He promised to work in partnership with Crystal Express to sustain the development of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
Earlier in his speech, the Editor of Crystal Express Newspaper, Comrade Eno Udo pointed out that Crystal Express birthed to fill the void of rich news dissemination in Akwa Ibom State.
He added that the newspaper has character, handles issue-based reports laden with intellectualism. The editor said that the newspaper is the voice of the people and is poised to adequately inform, as it is the authority of the Niger Delta.
In his goodwill message, a consulting columnist in the newspaper, Dr. Udeme Nana observed that Crystal Express Newspaper is one of the best produced newspapers in Akwa Ibom State that would make the NUJ proud.
Dr. Nana maintained that the columns written by high ranking intellectuals in the newspaper capture the attention of renowned national tabloids who also seek to publish same in their national dailies.
Dr. Nana expressed optimism that Crystal Express Newspaper would crystallize into a Chapel and would expand the tentacles of journalism practice in the state.
Crystal Express, an all-coloured newspaper debuted on September 23, 2019.
