Nsit Atai Chairman Hails Unity At APC Ward Congress
…As Eastern Nsit Ward 4 Returns Incumbent Chairman
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Congress in Eastern Nsit Ward 4, Nsit Atai Local Government Area, was successfully conducted in a peaceful and well-organised atmosphere, with the incumbent Ward Chairman, Mr Henry Edet Tom, returning to the office.
The exercise, held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Ward Centre in Ndon Omum, witnessed a large turnout of party faithful who participated in the democratic process to elect new ward executives.
The Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Area and political leader of the ward, Hon. Prince Anthony Nyong, who supervised the congress alongside party leaders, security agencies, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and members of the press corps, commended the orderly conduct of the exercise and the unity displayed by party members.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman described the re-elected Ward Chairman as a committed party loyalist whose hard work and dedication to the growth of the APC at the grassroots earned him another mandate.
He charged the newly elected ward executives to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, unity, and loyalty to the party’s ideals, urging them to align their efforts with the Arise and Renewed Hope Initiative to support the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno in 2027.

Prince Nyong emphasised that grassroots mobilisation remains critical to strengthening the party’s structure, while also stressing the need for discipline, respect for party hierarchy, adherence to due process, and effective collaboration with leaders at all levels.
He assured the new ward leadership of his full support and cooperation to ensure purposeful leadership that will positively impact party members across the ward.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Henry Edet Tom expressed gratitude to the Chairman for his support and thanked the party faithful for renewing his mandate. He pledged total loyalty to the leadership of the APC and promised to work assiduously with his team to deliver victory for the party and its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman further extended his oversight to Eastern Nsit Ward 1, Ward 5, Ward 10 and other wards, personally monitoring the exercise to ensure compliance with laid-down guidelines and hitch-free conduct across the local government area.
The congress ended on a strong note of unity, peace, and renewed commitment by members to continue working for the progress, stability, and growth of the APC in Nsit Atai.
