Nsit Atai Chairman Rallies Support For APC E-registration, Targets Massive Digital Membership Drive
The Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Anthony Nyong, has reaffirmed his full support for the ongoing APC electronic membership registration exercise, pledging to provide a conducive environment and necessary incentives to ensure its success.
Speaking during a meeting with the APC E-Registration team, political officeholders, and party stakeholders held at the Nsit Atai Local Government Council Secretariat, Prince Nyong described the exercise as a critical step toward strengthening the party at the grassroots.
He urged members of the team to remain focused and not be discouraged by the absence of immediate personal gains, emphasising that the long-term benefits for the party and democratic development are far more important.

“This exercise is our contribution to strengthening our party from the grassroots. Your commitment today will shape the future strength and structure of our party,” the chairman said.
Nyong further revealed the party’s ambitious target for the area, noting that while the manual register previously recorded thousands of members in the local government, the shift to a digital platform is vital for modernising and strengthening the party’s database.

He expressed optimism that Nsit Atai would record a significant increase in verified membership through the e-registration process.

Also addressing the gathering, the APC Chapter Chairman of Nsit Atai, Hon. Ntiaobong Essien, called on political officeholders and stakeholders to work in unity to ensure the success of the registration drive. He stressed that teamwork and coordination across wards would be key to achieving the party’s goals.
The APC e-registration supervisor in Nsit Atai took time to educate participants on the dos and don’ts of the exercise, outlining operational guidelines and highlighting possible challenges they may encounter.
He encouraged registration officers to remain patient, transparent and dedicated while carrying out their duties.
In their separate remarks, stakeholders pledged to collaborate closely with ward chairmen to ensure that all eligible APC members across Nsit Atai are captured in the digital database.
The ongoing exercise is part of a broader national strategy by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to digitise its membership records. The new electronic platform integrates biometric data and National Identification Number (NIN) verification to ensure that each member is uniquely identified and properly documented.
Party leaders also used the occasion to encourage eligible citizens to participate in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), describing it as essential for active democratic participation. They urged members to obtain or update their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections.
