The wife of the executive chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, Mrs Emem Anthony Nyong, marked her birthday alongside that of Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on Friday, April 24, 2026, with a humanitarian outreach to women and Persons Living With Disability (PLWD) at the Council Secretariat, Odot.
The outreach formed part of activities to commemorate the dual celebration, in line with the governor’s call for citizens to mark the special occasion by supporting the less privileged.
Speaking at the event, Mrs Nyong said the decision to celebrate through an outreach was inspired by the need to give back to society. She noted that the initiative also reflected the governor’s emphasis on inclusiveness and care for vulnerable groups.

She expressed appreciation to her husband, Prince Anthony Nyong, for his support.
Items distributed at the event included cash gifts and wrappers for the beneficiaries. The wife of the member representing Uyo Federal Constituency, Dr Dorcas Esset, also supported the exercise with similar donations.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture and offered prayers for both Mrs Nyong and Governor Umo Eno on the occasion of their birthdays.

In a related development, one of the beneficiaries, who recently delivered a baby boy, shared a testimony of her safe delivery, which she attributed to prayers offered during the Women’s Prayer Summit.
She added that she named her child after the executive chairman, Prince Anthony Nyong, in appreciation.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the wife of the member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Mrs Affiong Attah, and the vice chairman of the council, Mrs Affiong Amanam, who encouraged continued support for community-focused initiatives.
The event also featured the monthly Women’s Prayer Summit, with a sermon titled “There’s Hope”. The message drawn from Job 14:7, Proverbs 23:18, and Luke 7:11 focused on faith and resilience in challenging times.
As part of the activities, the executive chairman donated mattresses to National Youth Service Corps members serving in the area.
The celebration concluded with the cutting of cakes in honour of both Mrs Nyong and Governor Umo Eno, alongside prayers for their continued well-being.
