Women from across Nsit Atai Local Government Area on Friday, June 26, 2026, converged at the Council Hall, Odot, for the Nsit Atai Women’s monthly prayer summit, a spiritually uplifting gathering aimed at strengthening families, promoting godly values, and empowering women economically.
The summit, themed “A Woman of Wisdom,” was drawn from Proverbs 14:1 and Proverbs 31:25 and was led by the Wife of the Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, Mrs. Emem Anthony Nyong.
In her opening remarks, Mrs. Nyong expressed appreciation to the women for their steadfast commitment to prayer and encouraged them to remain unwavering in interceding for their families, the Local Government Area, and Akwa Ibom State. She emphasized that the prayers of women remain a vital force for peace, unity, and sustainable development. She also expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, for his unwavering support for women-focused initiatives and appreciated her husband, Prince Anthony Nyong, for his continuous encouragement and commitment to the success of the Women’s Prayer Summit and other empowerment programmes in the Local Government Area.

The exhortation was delivered by Rev. Noble Paul, who spoke on the theme, “A Woman of Wisdom.” Drawing from the summit’s anchor scriptures, he charged women to embrace godly wisdom in building their homes, nurturing their families, and making positive contributions to society.
Earlier, the Bible reading was taken by Mrs. Emem Anthony from Proverbs 14:1 and Proverbs 15:1, setting the tone for the day’s message on wisdom, humility, and righteous living.
As part of activities marking the summit, beneficiaries also received Living Seed Empowerment support to boost petty trading businesses, reflecting the administration’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of women through practical economic empowerment.
The summit concluded with prayers for the continued peace, progress, and development of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, and the nation at large.
