Oku Ibom Ibibio Gets Thumbs Up For Landmark Leadership
The leadership of His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk as the Oku Ibom Ibibio and chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs has received thumbs up from a traditional ruler in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
Eteidung Ekom J. O. Ekanem, Village Head of Ikot Ukap Ndiya, Nsit Ubium LGA, said the reign of His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk as the patriarch of Ibibios and head of royal fathers in Akwa Ibom State has brought tremendous peace, harmony and goodwill within the traditional institution and the state generally.
Eteidung Ekanem told The Pioneer that Ntenyin Etuk, who is the paramount ruler of Nsit Ubium, President General of Ifim Ibom Ibibio (Supreme Council of Ibibio Traditional Rulers) and the Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University, has severally proven his capacity as a worthy king, leader and benefactor to his people and state.
“In my position as a village head, I have seen his remarkable love for his people, community and the state. He has facilitated the employment of many school leavers and granted scholarships to undergraduates and others in polytechnic and colleges.

“It is worth mentioning that the Oku Ibom Ibibio has also offered skill acquisition training programmes to youths and indigent persons, which often go with start-up packs and investment capitals at the end of the programme.
“He has demonstrated what leadership is all about and we in the traditional institution are proud of him. He has shown us the way and we continue to pray for him to live long on the throne,” he added.
According to the Eteidung of Ikot Ukap Ndiya, the Oku Ibom Ibibio as a member of the National Council of Traditional Rulers (NCTR) has made a good representation of Akwa Ibom State in the national spheres of royal fathers.
He commended the premier royal father for his effective leadership which has also rubbed off on Nsit Ubium Traditional Rulers Council (TRC) and all the village heads and communities.
