Outbreak Of Corona Virus: Watbridge Hotels Launches Sanitizing Facility

In the light of the outbreak of Corona Virus, a hospitality outfit in Akwa Ibom State, Watbridge Hotels and Suites, has launched a hand washing and sanitising facility to check the menace and other diseases.

They have also provided out-of-fence water outlet for residents of Akpa Ube Street and its environs, the host community of the hospitality outfit.

Addressing newsmen on the new development on Tuesday, the Manager of the Hotel, Mr Sunday Ajayi, said the innovation is not just designed due to the outbreak of Corona Virus, but what ought to be a permanent fixture, adding that the project has come to stay even after the Corona Virus scourge is contained.

He noted that in line with their vision to provide world class hospitality in the ambience of serenity, space and luxury, they are always out to initiate and drive home innovations that will not only help them fulfil their mandate, but also continually offer their customers value for their money and patronage.

Speaking on the innovation, he said it’s the modest effort of the outfit towards boosting general public health due to the times. According to him, “the sanitizers placed at strategic locations around the hotel are all aimed at encouraging visitors in the hotel to imbibe the culture of hand washing so as to combat easily transmissible diseases, most of which are also hand-borne.

Mr Ajayi noted that the awareness exercise has placed the hotel as one that is highly socially responsive and committed to international best practices in the hospitality industry.

He said the proactive measures taken by the hotel to ward off the outbreak of any virus is a testament to the fact that the hospitality outfit takes the issue of hygiene seriously.

On the workings of the sanitary tools, the Manager explained that guests coming in are properly screened, adding that the exercise covers those who come to swim at the Super poolside, the gym, guests library as well as the media facility, including the underground nightclub.

While assuring that the hotel has put in place measures to ensure guests have a high-free and luxurious time in the hotel at all times, Mr Ajayi conducted newsmen round the water outlets provided for the hotel’s host community, saying that as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, the outfit will keep on doing its bit in order to support the efforts of the State Government in making the state the delight of many.
