SDEISC Director Pledges Robust Relationship With NEWS31

... Reassures Directorate's Commitment To Training And Retraining Of Staff

The Director of Social Development, Education, Information, Sports and Culture (SDEISC) Department at the Akwa Ibom State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Victor Solomon, has assured the new Executives of News31 Chapel of his readiness to support their activities for optimum performance.

The director expressed the gesture in his office during a familiarisation visit to him by the leadership of the News31 Chapel of the NUJ, Akwa Ibom State Council, on Wednesday.

Addressing the News31 team, the SDEISC boss commended the team for their thoughtfulness in recognising him in the affairs of the Chapel.

He appreciated past leaders of the Chapel for their excellent performances and encouraged the new executive officers to be committed to their duties to attain indelible heights beyond their past leaders.

While emphasising plans and arrangements by the Commission to train and retrain staff of the Unified Local Government Service, the Director advised Information/Public Relations Officers to be diligent in their tasks and efficiently deliver the same to stand out among other units in the department and the seven departments at large.

Earlier in his address, the Chapel Chairman, Comrade John Ekpo, who expressed his gratitude to God for the peaceful and successful election that has allowed him to serve as the Chairman, said, “It is by God’s grace that the vision conceived years ago has become a reality.”

Comrade Ekpo thanked the Director, SDEISC, for welcoming the Exco members into his office and accepting to share his tight schedule with the team.

Ekpo stated that through the instrumentation of the director, there have been seminars and trainings on different occasions that have helped in shaping the service delivery of members at workplaces.

The chapel chairman used the medium to condole the SDEISC boss who is bereaved of his mother, noting that the chapel believed that his late mother lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation while she was here on Earth.

In her vote of thanks, the vice chairman, Comrade Edna Usoro, appreciated Mr. Victor for the warm reception accorded the leadership of News31 Chapel and prayed to God to give the director the grace to keep standing tall and the enablement to give his late mother the befitting burial.

In attendance were all the executive officers of the News31 Chapel.
