Senator Albert Lauds MP Unyime Idem For Empowerment Of Constituents

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA), has commended Hon. Unyime Idem, Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency for his tremendous support and goodwill to his constituents.

Senator Albert, who is the Leader, Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Abuja stated this at the Constituency Briefing/Empowerment Programme by Hon. Unyime Idem at Ukanafun Local Government Area on Monday, December 20, 2021.

The two-term senator remarked that if only as a first term in representative, Hon Unyime Idem can exhibit such high level of commitment in empowering his people, then he will surely do more if given a second mandate to return to the House of Representatives.

In his speech, Rep. Idem, award winner of The Daily Independent Newspaper’s Best Federal Lawmaker – South-South 2021, thanked the people of Ukanafun and Oruk Anam Federal Constituency for the confidence reposed on him to be their mouthpiece in the Green Chamber and promised to continue doing his best for the people, state and nation.

Rep. Idem donated salon cars, buses, motorcycles, hairdryers, sewing machines and business grants worth millions of Naira.

Some of Idem’s signature projects includes; a 1000-Seater Capacity Vocational Skills Centre each in Ikot Udo Obobo, Ukanafun LGA and Ikot Okoro, Oruk Anam LGA; a 1000- Seater capacity state of the art Agricultural Skills Acquisition Centre; an Entrepreneurial Skills Centre; renovation of Classroom Blocks; four (4) well-furnished ICT Centre with Solar Electricity; Solar Powered Boreholes; Medical Equipment to hospitals; assorted writing and teaching materials to schools in Ukanafun and Oruk Anam respectively.
