“I want to describe Senator Bassey Albert Akpan with an analogy from Cross River State then when we had the senator representing Cross River State North, Senator Joseph Wayas. The people of The National Party of Nigeria (NPN) and beyond felt his impact once he arrived from Lagos (then Nigeria’s capital). Senator Bassey Albert is just like that, his representation is well felt both by the people of Uyo Senatorial District and beyond when he comes around. He is a giver and is doing very well in the Red Chamber,’’ he noted.
The former House of Assembly member who represented Uruan State Constituency also said ‘When you do something for him, he remembers you. I like the way he is representing Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo) Senatorial District and Akwa Ibom in the Senate. Look at his scholarship programme, indigent constituents and beyond who would not have had the opportunity to go to school now have access to education because of Senator Albert, and it gladdens me that he is our senator and we are proud of him’’.
He added that Senator Albert did not go to Abuja to sleep because his impact and representation is felt by all in so many ways; through his constituency projects, scholarship, supporting development course, intervention in medicals of constituents, empowerment and many more.
The political chieftain prayed to the Almighty God to endow the senator with more wisdom to record more strides in his representation.
