Senator Bassey Albert Commiserates With Mr. Kufre Umoren, Family Over Father’s Passage
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, has commiserated with Mr Kufre Umoren and family over the passage of their father, Elder Okon Benjamin Umoren.
Senator Albert, Leader Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Abuja, conveyed his condolences at the funeral and thanksgiving service held in honour of the Late Elder Okon Benjamin Umoren, father of Mr Kufre Umoren, a personal assistant to Governnor Udom Emmanuel at Ikot Ese Ishiet, Onna Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Saturday, December 18, 2021.
He urged the family to preserve the legacies of thier departed patriarch, while also praying God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Senator, popularly known as OBA, prayed to the Almighty God to grant the soul of the departed, eternal rest.
In his biography, the Late Elder Okon Benjamin Umoren was described as a peace loving man, sociable and friendly.

He was also a successful businessman who owned a shoe factory in Kano and a massive Electrical Workshop popularly known as “TOS Electronics”.
The late patriarch passed away at the age of 87.
The funeral and thanksgiving service was conducted by the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Southern Iman Circuit, Diocese of Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
