Senator Sampson Earmarks Projects For Schools, Communities In Oro, Others
The Senator representing Akwa Ibom South in the National Assembly, Senator Ekong Sampson, has pledged to undertake the construction of staff quarters at Secondary School, Udung Uko and parameter fencing at St Vincent Secondary School, Oti-oro, in Okobo Local Government Area.
The lawmaker is equally assured of the provision of solar streetlights to the Eyokpu/Eyobiosio community in the Udung Uko Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Senator Sampson stated this Tuesday while reacting to a letter of appreciation written to him by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Elders Forum, Udung Uko Chapter.
The forum, in its letter signed by the Chairman, Elder Asuquo Idung and Assistant Secretary, Hon. Joseph Eyo, expressed their appreciation to Senator Sampson for his generosity and thoughtfulness to them during the recent festivity. They also hailed the lawmaker on his excellent contributions to bills, motions, and oversights in the National Assembly.
The Party stalwarts equally commended Senator Sampson on his constituency projects in Udung Uko, especially solar streetlights in Eyibia and others, well spread across Akwa Ibom South. They noted the positive impact of Senator Sampson’s training and empowerment programmes, which have benefitted many youths and women in Udung Uko and indeed, the larger Akwa Ibom South, wishing the lawmaker many fruitful years in the Senate.
In his reaction, Senator Ekong Sampson assured of the construction of staff quarters at the secondary school, Udung Uko, and school fencing at the notable St Vincent Secondary, Oti-oro, in furtherance of his commitment to the advancement of education in the senatorial district.

The Senator, a traditional title holder of “Onomkpoinam,” Mkpat Enin, disclosed also that Eyokpu/Eyobiosio, another community in Udung Uko, will enjoy solar-powered streetlights through his intervention.
Senator Ekong Sampson has exemplified a laudable commitment to education in Akwa Ibom South. Currently, work is at advanced stages at the ICT/CBT Labs, which he facilitated to St. Vincent Secondary School, Oti-oro, Okobo, St. Francis Secondary School, Ikot Ataku, Eket and Excellence College, Ikot Unya, and Mkpat Enin Local Government Areas, respectively.
These are added to the construction of a school block at the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi, Staff Quarters at Excellence College, Ikot Unya, as well as the provision of education grants to hundreds of indigent students across the senatorial district. Senator Sampson has hinted that more schools will benefit from his project interventions in the coming months.
