Sunshine AKBC: As Gov. Eno Signs Agreement For Broadcasting Integrated Project
In line with his administration’s determination to upgrade the information mechanism of the State Government, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has sealed a deal with the Media Guru Consultant, LLC, Dubai, to transform the state-owned broadcasting corporation, AKBC, into a world-class broadcasting station.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, Governor Eno noted that the agreement, which covers the provision of consultancy, design, procurement and installation of broadcast equipment, is in fulfilment of the campaign promise as made by the Governor.
“I want to welcome everyone to the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Akwa Ibom State Government and Media Guru Consultant, LLC, for the provision of consultancy, design, procurement, and installation of broadcast equipment for AKBC,” he stated.

According to Governor Eno, the official signing of the agreement will place AKBC on a pedestal to compete favourably in quality broadcasting services delivery with other stations of international repute in Nigeria and beyond.
The Governor expressed optimism that AKBC will vigorously project the people and the State to the world on completion of the project.

Earlier, the Director General of AKBC, Imaobong Udoh, commended Governor Umo Eno for keeping to his promise to change the narrative of the broadcast station for the better.

She expressed the happiness of the management and staff of the broadcast organisation to witness the beginning of the transformation of the station to take its rightful place in the broadcasting world.
The DG assured that with the upgrade of the broadcast station set in motion by the State Government, Akwa Ibom people, in particular, and Nigerians, in general, will witness the best in broadcasting.
The event, which took place at Government House, Uyo, was witnessed by the Commissioner for Information, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, government officials, and staff of AKBC.
