Technical Education Will Promote Manpower Development, Others – Prof Inyang

An internationally renowned educationist, Professor Hilary Inyang has called for sustained promotion of technical education to enhance manpower development associated within the sector.

Professor Inyang, who is the chairman, Akwa Ibom State Think-Tank on Education, harped on the need for technical education at the retreat of the first Technical School Board Stakeholders held recently in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

In his presentation tagged, “Education for All is the Responsibility of All”, the world acclaimed scholar reiterated that technical education remains the bedrock for the development of every society, especially in developing countries.

According to him, “People will become better citizens with education. You will get to know the importance of voting only through education. It will help you to get a job. People can know the difference between good and bad.

“People will work hard to grow and develop themselves. Help in creating a better society to live in. They will become respectable law-abiding citizens of the country and strive for the betterment of the country.

“Education will support mothers who are single or alone. Raise the children rightly, as they are the future of the country. It will also help to solve unemployment in the country.”
