The Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Hon. Edidiong Joseph Inyang, has reeled out his achievements two years after assuming office.
Hon. Inyang, addressing newsmen on Monday, October 5, 2026, said he hit the ground running upon assumption of office to deliver people-oriented projects in line with the ARISE Agenda of the Governor Umo Eno’s administration.
Achievements listed in his scorecard, include “Regular payments of monthly stipends for 79 Village Heads, Village Youth Presidents and statutory party officers in the LGA and Construction of an ultra-modern Chairman’s office.

Others include the “Complete renovation of the administrative, legislative and executive wings of the Council Secretariat and Furnishing and remodelling of the Council Hall.
The Chairman also listed the Provision and installation of transformers to communities across the LGA and Payment of NECO examination fees for indigenous students of Ibesikpo Asutan.

Also carried out by the chairman include, the Grading of rural roads across all 12 political wards in the area, Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the construction of an ultra-modern market in Nung Udoe and Groundbreaking for the construction of an ultra-modern Traditional Rulers Administrative Block.

On security, Hon. Inyang noted that Ibesikpo Asutan has enjoyed relative peace, saying “Today in Ibesikpo Asutan, people can sleep with their two eyes closed because we have provided maximum security for lives and property.”
He added that his administration has also invested in agriculture to complement the food sufficiency drive of the Umo Eno-led government.
The Chairman paid glowing tributes to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno for giving him the privilege to serve his people, and expressed his avowed resolve not to disappoint the Governor, as well as the people of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.

He assured that more life-touching projects will be executed before the end of his tenure.
