Ubium Indigenes In USA Felicitate With Nsit Ubium Council Chairman, Perm. Secretary, Local Govt & Chieftaincy Affairs Over Elevations

Indigenes of the Ubium Clan living in the United States of America have felicitated with the Executive Chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government Council, Hon. Alfred Charles Inoyo, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Akwa Ibom State, Barrister Bassey J. Ekanem, for their new positions of responsibilities.

The Ubium indigenes, under the aegis of the Ubium Development Association (UDA) in the USA, in the congratulatory messages, signed by its National President, Anietie Edohoukwa; General Secretary, Dr. Ekong Peters; and Board Chairman, Thompson Essien, described the elevations of the two Ubium sons as well merited.

The association, in its message to Hon. Inoyo, said his “assumption of office as the Executive Chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government Council is an occasion of great pride for the Board of Trustees, Executives, and the members of Ubium Development Association (UDA) in the USA.

“We join your family, friends, well-wishers, and the people of Nsit Ubium in extending our warm congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure.

“It is heartening that you bring to your esteemed office a background of achievement, which assures that a new era of dedicated and committed leadership has dawned for our people both in the Diaspora and Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.

“Against this background, it is our sincere hope that you will focus on the upliftment of the standard of living in Nsit Ubium by investing in programs aimed at promoting the optimal development of our people, especially those in disadvantageous conditions,” it added.

The body assured the council chairman that “as a community-based organisation with a record of facilitating community support for essential services, we look forward to our partnership and collaboration with you and your Council in the spirit of cooperation and the interest of our joint efforts.”

In their congratulatory message to Barr. Ekanem, the indigenes said the Board of Trustees, Executives, and members of Ubium Development Association (UDA) in the USA are very delighted with his recent deserving promotion to the position of Permanent Secretary in the Civil Service of Akwa Ibom State.

It said, “We wish to join your family, friends, and well wishers in extending to you our warm congratulations and best wishes for continued success.

“May your service in your esteemed position be of glory to God and a blessing to our people, who look up to you as both their voice and link to government.”

The group assured their compatriots of cooperation and support in their exalted public positions.
