UCCDA Chairman Restates Commitment To Digitize Operations

...Urges Owners to Submit Development Proposals In Soft, Hard Copies

The chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), Prince Enobong Uwah, has reiterated his commitment to ensure the operations of the agency is ICT-compliant.

Speaking in his new secretariat office at Atan Offot, near Nobles International Secondary School, with the management staff of the agency on Monday, Prince Uwah said with the movement of UCCDA to the new office complex, its operations needed be overhauled to make for efficiency and effective service delivery.

Prince Uwah hinted that the agency was already working on modalities to ensure its smooth take-off to digitization, which, according to him would enable it upgrade its operations in line with global standards.

Prince Uwah called on developers and owners of building plans to henceforth submit their new development proposals in both hard and soft copies to fast-track the process.

He emphasized that no new submission without the soft copy to the Front Desk Office of the agency will be collected, explaining that the initiative is to enable the agency serve better.

Prince Uwah expressed gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel for his vision and support to the agency which he noted has repositioned it to be alive to its responsibilities. Present with the chairman was the secretary and head of administration, Mr Anietie Akpan, and heads of various departments of the agency.
