Ukpe, Onuk Task Kinsmen On PDP Membership/Voters Registration
Following the commencement of electronic capturing of members by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria, the people of Itu Local Government Area have been tasked to ensure they are not left out of the on-going updating of the party’s register.
Speaking at Ema Itam, Itu Local Government Area after the flag-off of the exercise in ward 6 on Sunday, the Chairman, Foreign Direct Investment, Mr Gabriel Ukpe stated that as a party, it is critical to have increased number of members from the area since democracy is a game of numbers.
Mr Ukpe charged members to join the sensitization campaign and ensure existing and new members have their details captured in the data base of the People’s Democratic Party.
He said the sterling performance of the present administration in the state should serve as a catalyst for members to work harder and ensure the state further consolidates its position as a PDP enclave adding that the registration is the only confirmation of membership and urged everyone to support and be part of the process.
