The Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council in Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo has devised a new revenue appraisal framework to accelerate revenue generation into the council’s coffers.
To this end, a tact team, known as Uyo Local Government Revenue Performance Continuous Appraisal Sub-Committee is to be inaugurated to fast track the planned innovation.
Already, Dr. Udo has approved the appointment of seven egg-heads to serve in the revenue performance continuous appraisal sub-committee. They are Mr Ubong Udofia – chairman; Hon. Ubong Effiong – member; Pastor Ime David – member; Mr. Ifiok George – member; Ms Edoama Isaiah – member; Mr Idongesit Archibong – member and Elder Samuel Akpan – secretary.

A press release signed by Mrs Itoro-Etas Iniobong, Special Assistant on Media to the Executive Chairman, Uyo Local Government Council, said the sub-committee is charged with the responsibility of checking and analysing the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) turnover performance of Revenue Consultants and Committees in Uyo Local Government.
Mrs Itoro-Etas Iniobong stated that the inauguration of the sub-committee by the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo will take place today, Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Conference Room of the Executive Chairman at the Council Secretariat, #1 Uyo Village Road, Uyo – Akwa Ibom State.
According to her, the committee is expected to submit her report within 10 days from the date of inauguration.
