Uyo Council Chairman’s Generosity Inspires Entrepreneurial Success At I&I Fashion Republic Graduation

On Friday, October 27, 2023, the graduating trainees of I&I Fashion Republic experienced an unforgettable runway graduation ceremony, filled with excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

This joyous occasion was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Uyo Council Chairman, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, and his wife, Mrs. Akaninyene Uwemedimo.

The graduating students expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the investment made in their lives, enabling them to acquire essential entrepreneurial skills.

Represented by his wife, Mrs. Akaninyene, the chairman, Dr. Udo, praised the resilience of these emerging entrepreneurs and highlighted the initiative’s goal of empowering youth to become responsible and productive citizens. Mrs. Uwemedimo also acknowledged her husband’s unwavering commitment to human capacity development.

In her address, the CEO of I&I Fashion Republic, Mrs. Imo Ebong, emphasised that the graduation and fashion show served as a remarkable platform for these budding fashion professionals to showcase their talents. She expressed gratitude to the Uyo Council Chairman and his wife for selecting I&I Fashion Republic as the training ground for their beneficiaries, citing the academy’s top-class quality in fashion training, ready-to-wear casuals, male senator suits, kiddie’s trends, and more.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Otoobong Willie Victor extended heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman of Uyo Local Government, Dr. Udo, and his wife for not just providing fish but teaching them how to fish. They pledged to extend the goodwill they received to others.

The highlight of the graduation ceremony was the distribution of training certificates and start-up packs, which included a seed capital of N220,000 for each beneficiary.

The event witnessed the presence of notable individuals, including the wife of the chairman of Esit Eket Local Government Area, Mrs. Maria-Therese Robson, the wife of the member of Nsit Ibom State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mrs. Nsikak Eric, Hon. Christiana Bassey, as well as the Superintendent of Qua Iboe Church, Oku Superintendency, Rev. Dr. Iniobong Udoh, and his wife, among others.

The occasion marked a significant step toward nurturing a new generation of successful entrepreneurs in the local government.
