The stakeholders, who made the Mr Udom Emmanuel commendation at the end of an enlarged meeting which took place on Friday at St. Michael’s Primary School, Midim, also lauded the state deputy governor, Mr Moses Ekpo, for ensuring that the chairmanship position is peacefully zoned to Afaha Obong clan for peace, justice and equity, describing him as a “man of peace”.
The stakeholders pledged to abide by the zoning as well as work together and support the PDP to produce a candidate who will be acceptable by the people of Abak during the forthcoming local government election.
Speaking with journalists at the end of the meeting, one of the stakeholders, Elder Sunday Udonsah, said anybody who is against the zoning is anti-government and is trying to sabotage the government of Mr Udom Emmanuel.
Elder Udonsah made a case for the councillorship position of Midim Ward I to be retained in Zone B since the ward chairman of the PDP has been retained in Zone C. The stakeholders’ meeting was attended by who-is-who in the politics of Midim including PDP chapter and ward executive officers.
