AKWA UTD BOLSTER SQUAD WITH SIX NEW SIGNINGS

Akwa United have fortified her squad ahead of the second stanza of the season with the signing of six new players in the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL mid-season transfer window.

 

The six new signings comprise; three forwards, two midfielders and a central defender. They are; National U-23 central defender Olisa Ndah, from Remo Stars.

Ndah has been assigned jersey number 2. National U-23 and former Wikki Tourists midfielder Ukeme Williams, he will wear jersey number 33. And former FC Ifeanyi Ubah left-footed winger Ifeanyi Eze. He will wear jersey number 17.

 

Others are; striker Salihu Saidu who joins from Katsina United. The Plateau State born striker has been assigned jersey number 8. Former Abia Warriors midfielder Emmanuel Arinze who has been assigned jersey number 28 and Former FC Lori of Armenia striker Ikechukwu Williams. He will wear jersey number 26.

 

The new players started training with the rest of the squad in Uyo some days ago and some of them may likely feature for the Promise Keepers on their Matchday 17 encounter against Heartland FC of Owerri on Sunday 26th January, 2020.
