All nominees forwarded to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly by the state governor for appointments into boards and commissions have been cleared.
At its plenary on Tuesday, the House considered the report of its Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights and Public Petitions on the screening of the nominees.
Governor Udom Emmanuel had recently sent a list which contained names of the nominees to the House for screening.
The House session presided over by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, resolved that the appointments of the nominees into Akwa Ibom boards and commissions be confirmed after they were duly screened and recommended.

The chairman, Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights and Public Petitions, Hon. Victor Ekwere, while reading the report noted that the nominees are men and women of proven integrity who had no adverse reports against them.
The nominees cleared include: Mrs Ekereobong Samuel Umoh for chairman, Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission from Eket LGA.
For Assembly Service Commission the nominees include: Barr. Goddy Umoh-chairman, from Ikono LGA; Rt. Hon. Friday Iwok -member from Abak LGA; Dr. Mrs. Roberta Edem, member, from Uyo LGA; Etiene Bob, member from Onna; and Barr. Godwin Awa, member, from Itu LGA.
Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA) has Hon. Enobong Uwah as chairman from Uyo LGA.
The Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board has Rt. Hon. Ekaette Ebong Okon as chairman from Itu LGA; Pst Markfre Ekefre as member from Eket LGA; Hon. Ofonmbuk Ukim, member from Ibesikpo Asutan LGA; Barr. Victor Okon, member from Oron LGA and Mr Martins Umana, member from Essien Udim LGA.
Others for State Technical Schools Board include: Hon. Godwin Udom as chairman from Oruk Anam LGA; Hon. Akaninyene Eyo, member – Etim Ekpo LGA; Ekanem Willie, member from Eket LGA; Henry Nko, member from Ibeno LGA; and Hon. Inemesit Ubokudom, member from Nsit Ibom LGA.
The House therefore ordered the clerk to communicate its resolution to the state governor for further action.
