Clan Head Of Ibesikpo Honours Senator Albert, Other With Chieftaincy Titles
The Ibesikpo Clan Council in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area has honoured Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA) in recognition of his superlative performance in the Senate as well as his benevolent development and human capacity schemes.
Senator Albert, who is the chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator rrepresenting Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Ata Eduek Ibesikpo at the 2021 Ibesikpo Day/ Carnival held at the Ibesikpo Local Government Council Hall, Nung Udoe held Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
Leading the Ibesikpo Clan Council of Chiefs to confer the honour to Senator Albert, the Clan Head, His Highness, Etebom Nsidibe J. Etuk, described him as a very patriotic Nigerian and a very hard working member of the Senate, who has done Akwa Ibom State proud.
In his response, Senator Bassey Albert thanked the Ibesikpo Clan Council of Chiefs for the honour and assured them that he will continue to do his best for the Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and humanity in general.
He reiterated that he sees himself as a servant of the people at all times and called the traditional institution to continue to support the state and federal governments to ensure development and peaceful coexistence in the society.
The chieftaincy awardees include Hon. Mrs Akon Michael, Mr Bala M. Inuwa, Obong Nsikak Ekong, Dr Paulinus Ekpo, Obong Anietie Udoetor.
