Corps Members To Benefit From Govt Youth Programmes In Delta – Commissioner

 

Delta State Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, has disclosed that the state government has approved youth programmes which would also include corps members deployed to the state.

Egwunyenga made the disclosure during the commissioning of the 700-capacity hostel and staff quarters of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, at the NYSC Delta State Permanent Orientation Camp, Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area.

He said the governor was a time-driven, youth-friendly man who has extended his love for the youth to corps members.

He said the commissioning of the NYSC project by Governor Okowa is a remarkable development for his ministry, adding that “The governor is a time-driven leader who not only has completed the project we are commissioning today but also ensured it was completed on time.

“Having approved youth programmes in the state, the governor has also ensured that corps members serving in the state benefit from these youth programmes which is a clear indication that he was not just Delta youths-friendly but also corps members-friendly in the state”.

While thanking the governor for commissioning the project, approving youth programmes and making the directorate of youth development a full-fledged ministry in the state, Egwunyenga assured that the ministry will engage youths in mindset and value reorientation programmes that would build formidable Delta youths.
