Finally, after much lockdown since April, the Federal Government is almost easing most of the restrictions with the resumption of inter-state movement, air travels and opening of schools.
But that is not to say that Nigerians should assume that corona virus pandemic is already over. No it is not.
It is a pity that in the first place most Nigerians do not even believe there is corona virus, and that is why they are casual about observing all the precautionary measures.
Nigerians only wear face masks to avoid falling foul of the law, not to prevent contracting the virus because they do not believe it exists. They do not even remember to use hand sanitizers.
They should recall that as at February 27 there was only one case in Nigeria but today there are more than 15000 cases.
A word is enough for the wise.
