...Hails Gov. Eno's Milestones In Governance

The immediate past chairman of Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Rt. Hon. Israel Idaisin said with the increasing role assigned to prominent traditional rulers both in the state and nationally, the recent elevation of Oku Ibom Ibibio as the president general of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers is timely and will enhance the state’s outreach on matters involving traditional rulers nationally.

The former council chairman, who stated this during an interview with Journalists in Uyo recently, also emphasized that Akwa Ibom State deserves to be at the forefront and also play a major role in the affairs of the country.

Idaisin, who described Oku Ibom Ibibio, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk, CFR, as a very compassionate and God-fearing leader, noted that he believes his reign will bring good fortunes to the state and also contribute to the betterment of Nigeria.

According to him, “I am aware of the prominent traditional rulers from across the country who have visited his palace to build stronger socio-cultural and economic ties between our state and theirs, such as some of the many benefits of having a prominent first-class ruler in your domain”.

Idaisin, who described Akwa Ibom as one big family called for the support of the monarch in his current assignment stressing that it will help the state in effective national integration and recognition.

“Today, we have a monarch who is not only recognised nationally like his other contemporaries but has also been sent on various national and international assignments to help our dear country. This is a thing of pride for all of us, as Akwa Ibom people”.

In the same vein, the former chairman who took a look at the seven-month administration of Pastor Umo Eno as Akwa Ibom governor said his government is focused and committed to enhancing the fortunes of the state and the people.

“The ARISE Agenda is fully on course, the impact is being felt across the state, the rural areas are beginning to feel the impact of government, the Songhai farm initiative will revolutionize Agriculture in the state, model public schools are coming up and stronger primary health sector is now here,” he said.

The ex-council chairman said if these projects and others could be achieved by the governor at the height of the multiple Court cases instituted against the governor, then the state would witness unprecedented development in the years ahead.
