Eno’s Performance Will Deliver Unprecedented Votes In A’Ibom 2027 Polls — Ntuk Udeh

...Dismisses Voter Apathy Fears, Cites Workers' Support, Grassroots Development, Infrastructure, Empowerment

The Political Adviser to Governor Umo Eno, Akparawa Godwin Ntuk Udeh, PhD, has dismissed fears of voter apathy in the 2027 general elections, saying the administration’s performance will translate into unprecedented votes for the Governor.

Udeh spoke at the 9th edition of the Inter-Ministerial Briefing organized by the Akwa Ibom State Government at Akpan Isemin Hall, Government House, Uyo, on Tuesday.

According to him, there is a growing shift in political orientation in the state, with residents now judging government by its impact on their lives and communities rather than personal inducements.

He cited the massive turnout of civil servants and teachers at recent government engagements, and the enthusiastic reception accorded the Governor during his outings across the state, as clear evidence that public perception has changed.

“You saw the number of civil servants who took over that hall. It has never happened in that quantity. That is to show that things are getting better and that the narrative has changed,” Udeh said.

He said similar unprecedented attendance by teachers at a recent forum with the Governor further demonstrated confidence in the administration.

The Political Adviser noted that support groups under the Akwa Ibom United campaign are already mobilising across communities, ready to take the government’s achievements to the grassroots.

He attributed the momentum to Governor Eno’s inclusive development model, massive infrastructure drive and empowerment initiatives that are reaching all local government areas and development centres.

“From my position and as a political office holder, we have seen that things have changed. The orientation of asking, ‘What is there for me?’ has changed because infrastructure, development and empowerment are reaching the people,” he stated.

He expressed confidence that the administration’s record will be the decisive factor in 2027, as citizens are eager to reciprocate good governance.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser on Political Affairs and Social Reorientation, Engr. Kufre Umoren, linked public support to the administration’s payment of over N100 billion out of N111 billion inherited gratuity arrears, noting that pensioners and beneficiaries of various interventions will express their appreciation at the polls.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Aniekan Umanah, said the briefing was part of government’s efforts to publicise its performance and deepen public understanding of its policies and achievements.
