According to the president of FC Rocket ONE, Otuekong Nse Essien (Indomitable), the team will ply their trade in the Nigerian Nationwide League, which is the second tier of the Nigeria Football League next season.
Otuekong Essien, who is the member representing Onna State Constituency, disclosed this recently in Uyo at a thanksgiving service organized by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Akwa Ibom chapter.

He used the occasion to disclose that FC Rocket ONE of Abat, Onna, will have their home matches played at the main bowl of the newly built state-of-the-art Eket Stadium when football activities eventually return. The team is tinkered by one of the CAF far-famed and licensed coaches, Emmanuel King aka Emu, whose pedigree has been of great impact on the team.
Otuekong Nse Essien who doubles as the chairman, House Committee on Sports and Security and one of the leading sports stakeholders in the state, maintained that the emergence of FC Rocket ONE will spice up competitions among teams in Akwa Ibom State.
He opined that the main focus of FC Rocket ONE next football season is to earn promotion in the elite division of the Nigerian Football League.
