...As He Joins Catholic Faithful To Celebrate Rev. Fr. Anwanga-Abasi Essien
The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Akwa Ibom State, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, CON, assured the people that God’s promises to them will soon be fulfilled among them.
The Senator made this declaration at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Quasi Parish in Idu Uruan, during the 10th priestly anniversary of Rev. Fr. Anwanga – Abasi Essien on Sunday, 27th November 2022.
Senator Albert encouraged them to always be in the habit of thanksgiving, adding that he has offered himself to be used by God for the fulfilment of his promises to the masses in Akwa Ibom State.
“We must develop an attitude of thanking God. Life is about thanking God. We came here to thank God for how far he has brought us. We must be upright in all our ways. We are more or less representatives of God, and people must see God through us. We are here to also tell God that the promise he has made to the people, we are going to ensure those promises are fulfilled,” the lawmaker enthused.
OBA also thanked God for keeping the celebrator (priest) in his vineyard in good health, and wished him more blessings on the altar.

“We are duty-bound day-in, day-out to appreciate God. Today is being set aside to say to God thank you so much for the life and contributions of your son, Anwanga -Abasi Essien. We have every reason to thank God”, he said.
